A successful entrepreneur and professional, Crystal Bouchard has made remarkable transitions in her career including working as an industrial process operator in the Oil and Gas Industry, a professional truck driver and Woman In Trades Program Coordinator.

She understands the nuts and bolts of running a business as she has successfully operated her own business, HAWK Employment Services, handling contracts with federal and provincial Governments. A Certified Career Development Practitioner, she is presently the Apprenticeship Advisor in Northwest BC with Industry Training Authority (ITA). ITA is responsible for leading and coordinating the skilled trades training and credentialing system for the province.

Bouchard knows first-hand the powerful impact of mentoring and leadership programs. She was a part of Women’s Enterprise Centre’s Taking the Stage program. “Taking the stage has helped me personally and professionally. It has been a positive catalyst in changing the direction of my career.”

She is an active member in her community and volunteers with many organisations including Rotary Club and Junior Achievement. “I continue to set goals regularly, always have a mentor or role model and continue to give back.”

She understands how crucial mentors are for entrepreneurial success. Bouchard is now a mentor with Women’s Enterprise Centre. “With the development of emerging energy sectors in the Northwest, there is a unique opportunity for women to increase their leadership and business skills, specially for women in trades and non- traditional Industry management roles.”
