The [facilitator] is warm, understanding, encouraging and skilled. The co-participants are smart and lively and fun. Although I am still convinced I have implemented about every option out there, the first session triggered surprising shifts in my mind and heart, making room for me to start moving in new directions. I am excited about what is going to come out of this process. -Skylark Desraeli, One Hill Productions, Kamloops BC

When an entrepreneur finds inspiration it will push them to build their business to success. Jennifer Deane found the inspiration she needed to take her business to the next level when she was working in the Olympic Village during the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics.
“My parents are both entrepreneurs and through them I was exposed to both the benefits and the challenges of being self-employed, but the clincher for me was seeing the passion in the athletes at the Olympic Games. I knew I wanted to help people create lives that had them jump out of bed in the morning,” says Deane.
From there she went full force ahead and achieved her coaching certification just two years later. Deane started her business coaching individuals one-on-one and has now expanded to coach, train and consult with individuals and businesses from her office in Squamish, BC.
“By designing my life and work around my values and vision I inspire those around me to do the same. As a result people are living lives that are more fulfilling and operating businesses that are more effective,” recognizes Deane. “When we live and work according to our values and visions we contribute to making the world a better place.”
Deane has taken her mantra a step further by volunteering to mentor a group of women entrepreneurs in her area through Women's Enterprise Centre’s Mentoring Program. “Mentors allow us to feel supported and heard. They help us increase our self-confidence and awareness. They help us capitalize on and integrate the experience and wisdom of someone who has walked the same path that you are walking.”
