Women's Enterprise Centre offers new series: This series, which will run throughout the year, will start with tips that will help a woman start a business then transform and grow from a one-person shop to something bigger. These articles will focus on the basic management strategies a woman in business needs to go to the next level. Women's Enterprise Centre is offering complimentary coaching sessions to support women as they complete the Creating Your Business learning guide. Face-to-face sessions are available in Vancouver and Victoria and telephone sessions are available for women around the province. Sessions will be held every two weeks and each session will focus on a different step in the Creating Your Business Guide. Sessions will offer guidance from a business advisor as well as peer support. For more information on these coaching sessions, a session schedule and to register, click here Order Creating Your Business Guide here Mentoring Eases the Transition to Self-employmentMentoring programs for women entrepreneurs coming in March 2007 Whether they’re coming at it from employment, retirement, stay-at-home parenting or unemployment, starting a business can be a little intimidating for anyone. ‘Why?’, was the question posed recently to entrepreneurial women from across BC, who came together in seven cities to discuss the barriers they face when entering self-employment. Organized by Women’s Enterprise Centre, these groups explored the issues around women transitioning to entrepreneurship. Their candid disclosures will form the basis for a comprehensive mentoring program to be launched in March 2007.

They both sport cute and comfortable outfits from Vancouver's Sweet Peanut Clothing Company. Danielle Wilson's idea for her company came about when she was looking for clothes for her baby boys that were soft and comfortable, stylish and fun.
