When conducting market research, aside from selecting the right target audience and research type (such as focus group or email survey), asking the right questions is crucial in receiving quality responses:

When creating your questions, make a mental distinction between what is essential to know, what would be useful to know and what is unnecessary - keep the former, discard the later and keep the useful to a minimum.

Supplier Diversity is a catchphrase many companies use to describe an aspect of their procurement policy…but what exactly does Supplier Diversity mean, and how can it help you to grow your business? In general, a supplier diversity program within a company encourages (or mandates) that company or organization to purchase a portion of their supplies from minority or women-owned businesses.

Although the US has long been on this band wagon, it is relatively new in Canada. A question you might have is, how does a purchaser know if a supplier is actually a diverse supplier? Does anyone regulate this? The answer, of course, is yes!

When your brand comes up in conversation, do people know about it? Do they know what product or service your brand specializes in, be it modern Indian fast food, fitness for women or glass repair?

If your brand is well established, this is a good thing, as long as people have a positive impression of your brand. Yet, knowing a brand and loving a brand are not the same thing. Take Apple as an example. I'm often impressed with how loyal their customers are. Every time a new product comes out – new iPod, the iPad, the latest iPhone – people flock to the stores as if they were lining up for tickets for a U2 concert.

What you do every day is more important than what you do once in a while.
We often delay getting started because we don't have time or motivation. Or we stop and start and lose interest.
